My journey with the Children’s Board Family Resource Centers in Central Tampa began in 2016. I did not know this place existed until my Healthy Start Case Worker shared information about the developmental playgroups. When my son, Cajll, turned six months old, we started to attend the Baby & Me Developmental Playgroups provided by Baby Bungalow.
My name is Legacy Hunt. Our family expanded from my husband and I with 6 children to 9 children with the addition of my sister’s 3 kids. This resulted in more responsibilities, hardships and a greater challenge than I could have imagined. Due to the number of children and all the expenses in life I was unable to provide for my family.
My family started with the Children’s Board Family Resource Centers in Central Tampa back in 2012 when a friend mentioned an developmental playgroup for children. My wife and I are both college professors in the arts and were looking for a supportive and friendly environment. Our oldest daughter Fiona, was two at the time and now our youngest daughter Alana is part of the developmental playgroups ─ altogether about seven years.
“My name is Nelda and I have the pleasure of being a Grandmother to my precious granddaughter, Lila. Lila was 9 months old when I registered for her first Developmental Playgroup, Baby & Me, provided Baby Bungalow at the Children’s Board Family Resource Center in Central Tampa.”
My journey with the Children’s Board Family Resource Centers in Central Tampa dates back to June 2016 with my first son Jayce Cannon. I was looking for a safe place where my child could enjoy creative play and exploratory learning. Thanks to a dear friend, whose family were already members, suggested that I visit.
