Baby Bungalow Program

  • Baby & Me: A 5-week playgroup for babies not yet walking and their parents/caregivers, to share and learn through play. The experiences offered support infants’ social, emotional, physical and cognitive development through sensory materials, songs and positive interactions.

  • Creative Learning: A 5-week playgroup for 3, 4, and 5 year olds designed to promote children’s critical thinking, problem solving and creativity through discovery and play.

  • Growing Together: A 5-week playgroup for confidently walking children, 12-24 months of age. This group targets the developmental domains of cognitive (language, literacy and more), physical, social and emotional development.

  • Infant Massage: This 2-session workshop, for babies who are not yet crawling, led by a certified infant massage educator who instructs parents/caregivers on the techniques and benefits of infant massage.

  • Infant Sign Language: This 2-session workshop teaches parents/caregivers the basics of signing while giving children a foundation for communication as expressive language skills are developing. Children up to 48 months of age participate with the caregiver during the 2nd session to practice with support.

  • Little Amigos: A 5-week playgroup for 2, 3 and 4 year olds that provides English and Spanish language exposure to child and adult participants through music, singing, rhymes and activities. This group is led by a bilingual facilitator.

  • Music & More: A 5-week playgroup that nurtures the development of children 6 months to 5 years, through music and other activities. Music boosts language and literacy development, motor skills, self-expression and numeracy/math experiences.

  • Wonder Years: A 5-week playgroup for 2 and 3 year olds that uses play, music, stories and more to foster toddlers’ growing independence, self-regulation and curiosity.

  • Developmental Screening: Families can meet with an early childhood specialist to complete the Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) for children
    ages birth to 66 months.

  • Well Child Care: Children who are uninsured and on Medicaid receive free immunizations and well child physicals by appointment with the Mobile Medical Clinic.

  • Nutrition Classes: Fun classes that include activities which teach the child about healthy foods, nutrition, and eating habits.

  • Vision Screening (ages 6 months to 18)

  • Car Seat Safety Class: After viewing a presentation on how to pick the appropriate car seat and secure it correctly, you will be able to do it hands on! You will also receive a seat at no cost.

  • CPR & First Aid Class: A certification class where you will learn how to handle many emergencies such as bleeding, shock, poisoning, head and spine injuries and much more. You will also learn how to perform CPR and choking rescue techniques on infants, children and adults. This is a great course for all parents, grandparents, baby sitters and anyone who cares for children

  • Safe Sitter Class: An 8 hour class for kids ages 11 through 17 to learn how to handle behavior problems, rescue a choking infant and child, how to run your own babysitting business, first aid and how to keep yourself and the child safe.

  • Arts & Crafts for Children: Kids will enjoy projects which help develop their creative side, ages 2-4 and 5-12 years.

  • Citizenship Study Group: Individuals interested in taking the U.S. Citizenship exam can join this study group to review the exam questions, practice the interview, and learn how to build our self-confidence during the process.

  • Conversational English: Learn the basics on how carry on a conversation in English (not available at all Centers).

  • Family Community Advisory Council: Join this group of community members and have the opportunity to suggest or recommend programs and services at your local Center.

  • Family Events: Activities involving the entire family (call the Center for details).

  • Free Play: A fun and relaxing time for children ages 1 to 4 years old and caregiver.

  • Story Time: Storytelling, singing and more.

  • Volunteer Program: Volunteer opportunities in areas such as Special Events, Organizing Food Pantry and Clothes Closet, etc.

After School Reading Crew South County.j

The After School Reading Crew is a reading program designed to help your child improve their literacy skills and develop a love for reading. It is a 5 week program for children in Kindergarten, 1st or 2nd Grade. Each session will consist of reading instruction and activities and will last 60 minutes (50 minutes of instruction and 10 minutes for caregiver feedback). Caregiver must be present at all sessions.


  • 24/7 Dads: Fatherhood classes.

  • ACCESS Assistance: Apply for or check status of benefits.

  • Baby Café: A certified lactation counselor will answer your questions and concerns on breast- feeding.

  • Computer Lab/Access: Participants may be able to use a computer to for educational, employment search, and community resources.

  • Family Counseling: Provided by Success 4 Kids & Families and Hillsborough County Division of Children Services

  • Florida KidCare Assistance: Help with applying for Florida KidCare Insurance.

  • Notary Service: Call for appointment.

  • Safe Baby: Workshop to help keep your baby safe from the top three preventable causes of infant death: choosing a safe caregiver, shaken baby syndrome and sleeping safely.

  • VPK Enrollment Assistance: Find out what you need to know to get your child ready to enroll in school and Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten

Let’s Learn Spanish is a 12 week class offered two days a week for 1 hour. Each class will consist of interactive and engaging activities that encourage language learning in Spanish, through Spanish. Students will be introduced to language and cultural experiences centered around the theme of “Family and Community” that will help prepare them to be interculturally savvy in today’s globalized society.
